Mosaic Nativity

This nativity is my second mosaic nativity.  I created this as an auction item for our school - one of the "perks" of being an art teacher and an art maker.  I know the family who had the highest bid and I am pleased they enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Mounted on a wood base this mixed-media work measures 24" x 18".

 
Mepkin Nativity

This triptych is in the collection of Mepkin Abbey, a Jesuit Monastery in Moncks Corner, SC.  Every year they host a creche festival during which they display upwards of three-hundred Nativity scenes , many from their own collection and a selection from invited artists.
